Hi, for me steel body is nice but little heavy from titanium. The price is low than the titanium body jewelry. I also wearing magnetic bracelets for men, its good for health in helping minor pain area. But titanium is nearly harder than steel made jewelry.

Body jewelry made from steel is made from 316L or 316LVM (316L is a low carbon steel, and 316LVM has been vacuum melted which results in a less contaminated steel, with a lower nickel content). surgical steel, and titanium body jewelry is made from 6AL4V titanium which is a 136 grade. Both are hypo-allergenic which is why they’re great for body jewelry.

As far as one being better than the other, titanium has no nickel which people with a nickle sensitivity can more easily wear with less irritation to their piercings. Titanium is the most bio-compatible metal that can be used in a piercing.

Cons of one over the other, surgical steel does have small trace amounts of nickel but has a lower cost. Titanium, costs more, but doesn't have a small percentage of a possiblity of allergic reaction to the metal.

titanium also can be anodized and can come in cool colors. it all depends on your personal preference, really.
