Hi. I used to self-injure but now have since stopped for over a month now. It was hard but I’m still moving along pain free. :)

Anyway, something really bothers me and I'm wondering if anyone else feels the same way, but do you think that fashion is promoting self-injury? Many so called “alternative” stores like Spencer's and Hot Topic would sell jewelries, for example, with razor blades on them.

Does anyone think we should, I don't know, like BAN these sorts to jewelries? I can't imagine having very young children seeing them and think, “Hey, it must be cool to cut myself!” :(

Answer:
Oh my gosh!Ihink we should have those banned! Well, I am glad you’re getting through your tough time :) Keep it up :)

Hmmm Interesting…To be honest I didn`t even realise it was a blade at first! =] Anyway I concur, they shouldn`t put those kind of things on jewelry, it would be like putting a tiny sliver gun on there or something. I mean I get they might just think it looks cool or punky or whatever but it doesn`t send out a good message! Btw Well done on recovering, keep it up! Good luck and hope this helps!

Answer:
No. Those kinds of jewelry are not made to promoste self-injury. They're made for hardcore and brutal kids who think they're more badass than everyone else.
