How do I stop my ring from rotating around my finger?
Sep 24, 2008
Hi! My Grandmother gave me a her engagement ring for my 35th birthday. It fits, but it tends to rotate or spin around my finger. I went to a jewelry store but they said it was perfect, but when it rotates it drives me crazy & I'm constantly turning it around. Are there any tricks I have the ability to do at home to keep it in the right place? If I’ve to go back to a store, about how much does it cost to get it to fit snug, if anyone knows? Thanks!!!!!!!
Answer: Head to a local jewelery store and ask for a ring adjuster. They are a non permanent way to shorten the inner circumference, making the ring more snug. They are affordable and don't damage the ring. I don't know how much it would cost to refit, since that’s dependent on the setting and how much you’re taking out.
Answer: Just go to any jewelers and they’ll give you a ring gaurd that you put under the ring so it can fit snug. Ring gaurds aren't a lot of money. But if you want them to actually resize the ring they’ll probably ship it out to be resized usually takes a week. as far as the pricing it has to do with the kind of precious metal and the width of the ring at the base of it. Hope that helps.
Answer: It is a sign of nervousness. Some people twirl table top items when they talk; some twirl their hair and so on and so forth.
To stop it, wrap a piece of string at the bottom of the ring. It won’t be so loose and it will be a perfect fit. Right now it is too loose for you.
Answer: I got my grandmother's ring (lol ironic) refit for fifty bucks. Not the cheapest, but it had been in the family for ages, and it was also really old, which supposedly drives the price up a bit.
Good luck- just hit up your local jewelers and ask for an estimate.
