i have this really cute necklace but it looks all dull and old now
how do i get it to be shiny like new again?
and i dont want to have to purchase anything so home remedies please?
Answer: baking soda, and hot water.
see the tip on the right of the page linked below
I found that the version of the recipe without salt and with more baking soda worked better. Salt is caustic to silver, so it seems like if baking soda works just as well (though it does have salt in it as well) it might be superior to avoid pure salt
Answer: Restore silver or silver plate back to its formerly lustrous self with tiny more than a swift trip to the lavatory. It takes just minutes to brush away tarnish buildup with ordinary toothpaste. You can apply the same technique using commercial silver polish. However, toothpaste is handier, cheaper and less toxic.
Answer: Shaving foam and a nailbrush.
Just put a tiny shaving foam on the necklace, give it a scrub with the nailbrush and rinse it off in hot water. It should shine up perfectly.
I've used it lots of times and it always works.
