I purchased some silver jewelry on the internet couple of months back from a website www.thaisilverjewelry.net and its now turning a little black. what should i do ? Any tips on how to clean it ? Nice stuff though and quite cheap too !!

I think if it is sterling silver. To clean Silver jewellery here is the tips.

1) Use Jewellery Cleaning cloth for normal cleaning. just rub it and it become white again .

2) use Toothe powder or paste to clean it. with some water and cloth and clean with a dry tisshu.

3) To remove dust from jewelry use boiled water and put some washing detegent (very few ) and dip you jewelry and take it off. it will see more clean stone with out any dust in it.

4) Use hair Dryier to dry the jewellery. please take care Silver is affeted by water.

5) There are some ready made jewelry cleaner avaibale go and use them if you have silver articales also.

6) if you have local siver smith go to him and ask for ultrasonic cleaner , Steam and some J2 rhodium over it so it will never turn black in Long time.

Toothpaste works, but I know another trick that is easier (no elbow grease).

Take a massive pan, preferrably stainless steel and put a layer of aluminum foil in the bottom. Then sprinkle some regular table salt and add warm water. Use your fingers to kind of swish it around a bit to mix. Then put your jewelry in and let it sit for a minute then move it around a bit, just to make sure it's all coming clean. Then just take it out, rinse, and dry. I can't remember where I saw that (tv I think), but it really works!

you can purchase a product called 'silver dip' very simple to use or put some soda crystals into hot water with some baco foil you’ll see the water reacting, dip your silver in it for a couple of minutes, that’ll remove the blackness, then rinse in fresh water drying with a soft cloth

Thats very simple. Just clean them with your normal toothpaste (I use Colgate). Apply a bit of toothpaste on your toothbrush. Gently scrub it over the silver and i bet it will look like new and more shiny.

My mom uses toothpaste. She rubs it on then wipes it off… rinses it. Let's it sit on a teatowel for a few hours.
