should i go to a jewelry store and just ask the guy how much i could sell it to him for, but if its fake i wouldn't want him to think I was trying to cheat him, but i don't want to tell him that i think its fake because then he could cheat me. What do i do?
Answer: I don't know how well this works and when my friend and I tried it, it was hard to tell. On Tyra she had this really good jeweler of some sort and he said one way to spot a fake is by breathing on it. If it holds the fog then its fake. I think probably your best shot would be just going to the jewelry store and asking if they could tell you if its of any worth or not. Just tell them you found it and if it turns out to be real you're interested in selling it. As long as it doesn't look horribly fake there's no harm in asking. They have people come in all the time wanting to know if their jewelry is worth anything. So just go for it and ask him. Hope you find its worth something! =]
Answer: It's probably fake, take it to a jeweler and ask him to determine the carat size, weight, and clarity. Make it sound professional.
Answer: just ask the person in the jewlery store if it is real or fake because you found it and didnt know. if he says its real than ask him if he wants to purchase it.
Answer: take the ring to a jeweler, even if you are not sure. i found an earring and did the same, turns out it wasn't real but it was still good to find out.
Answer: Take it to a Kay jewlers.. they have this little laser gun thing that they shoot at the stone and can tell if its real.
If it is, then take it somewhere to sell it. (I dont think Kay does buy-backs)
Answer: Take it to a reputable jewelry store.
Answer: Just ask a jewelry store..
Answer: or go to a pawn shop
Answer: i think you should take it to a pound shop they have the ability to tell you for free
