I am currently a highschool student and I am surrounded by “Preppy People.” I’m aware that there are a couple of types of preps. There’s Highschool Prep, and real prep. HS preps wear A&F and whatnot, and real preps wear stuff like Ralph Lauren. But, can anyone give me a superior idea of both types of preps? What brands, types of tops (whether it is a polo or oxford), bottoms, shoes/Sneakers, jewelry, and type of hairs do each type of preppy people wear?

real preps: ugg australia, nice designer clothes, ralph lauren, lacoste, lilly pulitzer, j crew, murrays, eliza b, madras, plaid, bermudas, polos, pearls, headbands, flip flops, grosgrain, bright colours, sporty, wealthy, polite etc, diamond studs, sliver, gold, classic everything. keds, ballet flats, lose wavy or straight hair, naturtal high lights perhaps. anything windswept, natural and pretty (messy buns/ponytails, wear it down, curly or straight). love this type of prep, im like the british version.

steriotypical prep: a&f, hollister etc, too much makeup, squealy voice, stuck up, snobby etc. can be a bit slutty. brand name clothes - logos shamelessly plastered across chests lol.

not everyone who wears a&f is like that but a lot of people are!

I honestly don't think that there is high school preps. I mean come on, seriously, how would you be a prep, if you can get a shirt from Holister for like 13-20 dollars. Think about it, I think they're wannabe preps. I wouldn't call myself a prep for shopping from these stores, but I do love RALPH LAUREN, A large fan of the jewelry and perfumes, and Chanel and Dior are awesome too!!! I hope your not a high school wannabe prep.

High school preps are basically hollister, a/e, a&f, abercrombie, Coach etc.

High School preps: Jewlery from claire's, and etc. Fake flashy stuff, that looks preppy but isn't real.

Simple shoes, that are not a brand name but look preppy or nice.

Real prep: Chanel earings and jewlery, Dior, Gucci, D&G (Dolce) Ralph Lauren, Lacoste, Armani, Prada, etc, Calvin Klein.

Shoes: I wear Ralph Lauren shoes, Vera Wang, Tommy are also good.

My perfumes: Ralph Lauren Romance and hot are awesome!!!

Dior: Jadore

Chanel: I like allure and coco chanel.

Armani is also good.

Beauitiful and Miracle are also good perfumes.

Jewlery: Same brands.

When I was in high school there was no such things as a Highschool Prep and a real prep. You were just a prep that wore stuff that most kids couldn't afford, drove nice cars, were spoiled, Jocks, stuff like that.
