my new jewelry is darker than my untarnished old jewelry. I keep on treating my new jewelry with baking soda, so i doubt that it is tarnished or something. The old hewelry is more like the color od aluminium ahile the new one seems a bit darker than that.

There are a lot of reasons why that might be. Could be that the older jewelry isa lot of old fine scratches, could be a different alloy, and still could be that you’re not getting all the tarnish.

I would take it to a jeweler and ask there see if the older jewely can be polished.
