My son put a sterling silver neck chain into jewelry cleaner over night and it turned it brown. There’s no warning on the cleaner to state that it can’t be used on sterling silver. The chain cost me about $100 and was bought at JC Penney, is it ruined? Can you put sterling silver in a jewelry cleaner?

if you have the reciet take it to jcpenny and state that when you applied jewerly cleaner the silver ruined and that it stated it was ok to use and ask to recive a new necklace or exchange it for something else
