I recently purchased this ring from a different jewelry dealer. I was told is was .75CT. I found this website, it is the exact ring I’ve, GND is engraved on the bands. This page has me a tiny puzzled, though. Is it .50CT or is it .15CT? I’m very upset that it isn’t what I was told it is. I paid way more than the $199.75 listed price. But before I contact the dealer, I want to know what it actually is. Thanks

Answer:
I don't think you got cheated here,

GND is a jewelry manufacturer that sells to the trade, the jewelrysupercenter website that you are looking at is for wholesalers, and I have looked up your ring.

The $199.75 price is wholesale for the semimount only and does not include the matching band. A semimount is a ring with the side stones included, but no center stone. The blank head in the ring is sized to carry a .50 carat center, which was provided by the dealer who you purchased it from.

The .15 carat total weight refers to the side diamonds on the ring only. It looks like the matching band would be about .20 carat total weight.

I can't tell you the exact weight of your center stone, but it would be at, or near .50 because the size of the head will only tolerate a few points up or down from .50.

So, if you add all of the diamond weights together, that comes up to a .85 carat total weight set.

The wholesale cost of this set would be about $850. If you bought it on the web, you probably paid about a 35% markup, so a reasonable retail price would be $1,150. If you bought it at a retail store, they would double the wholesale price, so you would have paid about $1700.

I've listed a link below where you can see other GND wedding sets and compare them to yours for the look, price, and quality.

Answer:
Contact the dealer for more details about the diamond, like color clarity. It seems that the ring priced at $199.75 matched with small stone with not so high grade, you can see some inclusions in the diamond. So contact the dealer for assure. I have a pendant mounted with 0.80ct diamond, http://www.pearlhours.com/index.php?url=…
