i purchased a 14k white gold at the jewelry shop the other day as a gift for my gf. i'm just wondering if 14k is good enough or i should have bought an 18k white gold.

14k is pretty decent, 18k is slightly better but more high-priced, the higher 'k' u go, the softer and more high-priced the gold becomes. Besides, u can't see the difference between 14k and 18k white gold.

14k I think is 1:1 ratio between nickel and gold.
